G.K. Chesterton or the joy of living

Abstract

Master of paradox, Chesterton is master, too, of the sense of humor. The joy that he summarizes in his writings presents reality as a great human comedy. The fragility and malice of human recesses appear in his writings, but there is not the slightest hint of morbidity. The goodness in its disarmed simplicity is enough to untie the knots of the human condition.
