Abstract

In this opportunity, Manuel Barrós translates a selection of poems of Um carro capota na Lua [A car overturns on the Moon] (2018), Brazilian writer Tadeu Sarmiento”™s book of poetry. The translated poems let us know some of its important characteristics: humor, irony, subtlety and rereading of various authors. The book won the Príªmio Governo de Minas Gerais de Literatura in 2016, with which the author took another important step in his career. Therefore, publishing these poems, the translator contributes to broadening the scene of Brazilian poetry in Peru and Latin America.
