Abstract

This reading note examines the representation of the philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche from the topic of the doppelgänger in the fantastic story "The Black Solomon" by Rubén Dario. The association of Nietzsche as a counterpart to the biblical and mythical King Solomon projects Dario's ambivalent perception of the influence of Nietzsche's thought on his generation.

Rauf Neme Sánchez es magíster de Literatura Hispanoamericana por la Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. Es miembro del Grupo de Investigación y Edición de Textos Coloniales Hispanoamericanos (GRIETCOH) de la PUCP y del Grupo de Investigación de Tradición Oral Peruana del Instituto Riva Agüero - PUCP. También es socio activo (extranjero) de la Sociedad Argentina de Estudios Medievales (SAEMED). Actualmente es Director del Departamento de Estudios Generales de la Universidad Católica Sedes Sapientiae.
