In this opportunity, Manuel Barrós introduces and translates the first four chapters of A lua vem da ísia [The moon comes from Asia] (1956), Brazilian writer Walter Campos de Carvalho”™s novel. These chapters let know some ideas of the author just as some of the most important characteristics and issues of the nonsense poetic that he developed in his literary work: irony, irreverence, critical humor, subtlety and intertextuality. It should be added that this is the first time that Campos de Carvalho is translated to Spanish. Therefore, publishing these four chapters, the translator increases the scene of Brazilian literature in Peru and Latin America.
